Project Pietas – Cultivating Duty and Contentment in Community

Who We Are

A brotherhood of men who want to live out the timeless call to do our duty, be content, and grow in unity. Inspired by the ancient ideal of pietas (the disciplined fusion of duty and contentment), we meet regularly to study the ideas that shape a life of purpose, hold each other accountable, serve our communities, and realize our full potential.

What We Do (Core Practices)

  • Shared Prayer – “Almighty God, help me to do my duty and be content; to understand meaningfully and act courageously; and to live free in pursuit of what is good.”
  • Study Groups – Rotating readings on duty and contentment followed by discussion.
  • Growth Partners – Small-group check-ins to share successes, obstacles, and next steps.
  • Responsive Service – Volunteer actions that turn personal duty into tangible community impact when a real need is identified.

Why Join?

  • Grow in pietas — moral understanding, courage, and firmness.
  • Find brothers who will encourage you to realize your full potential.
  • Equip yourself to advance the good of your family and community.

"The consideration that human happiness and moral duty are inseparably connected, will always continue to prompt me to promote the progress of the former, by inculcating the practice of the latter."
— George Washington
